Mark Davies

Sport's Rehabilition Therapist / Massage Therapist

Mark completed his bachelors and masters from Coventry University. He has subsequently worked as a Head of Medical Services, Sports Therapist and Strength and Conditioning coach in professional football with Birmingham City Football Club and other clubs in the west midlands across men’s and women’s football. Following this Mark has also been a lead lecturer and course manager of a BSc Sports Therapy degree through the University of Northampton.

Mark is a sports rehabilitation specialist, having worked with professional athletes returning them back to elite performance following injury, from minor strains and sprains, to surgeries and chronic injuries, often rehabbing ACL reconstructions and commonly working with long term tendon injuries. He specialises in bespoke, criteria based rehabilitation through return to play protocols, to minimise risk of injury recurrence and enhance performance following injury, providing high class rehabilitation programs to all levels and stages of injury.

Mark has also worked as a strength and conditioning coach, leading and programming gym and pitch based sessions to improve function and performance in team sports and for individual athletes, incorporating these principles into his rehab techniques. This enables a holistic approach to rehabilitation, focusing on the fundamentals of movement and specific requirements of clients to complete desired tasks/sports, alongside the injury treatment. Providing you with expert coaching of movements and exercises in your rehabilitation, ensuring you maximise the impact of movements, also providing education in gym based rehabilitation.

He is also a specialist in injury risk reduction, with movement screening and testing to inform pre-habilitation and strengthening programs, bespoke to individual needs and requirements. Incorporating this into rehabilitation plans as secondary outcomes, or as the goal of sessions providing advice and information on key performance and movement indicators.

Outside of work, Mark enjoys playing football and cricket, playing professional academies in both before injuries. He also plays golf, however, to a much more recreational level compared to the other sports.
