Laura studied at Kings College London- graduating in 2005 then went straight into the Health Service at Guys and St. Thomas’ Hospital, working across all areas then specialising in musculoskeletal physiotherapy by 2007.
She then joined a large private London clinic, continuing to gather experience and developing a keen interest in sports injuries and rehabilitation.
Laura has been competing in Triathlon since 2010. Her endeavours started as a hobby but she has progressed to represent GBR in the European and World championships for her age group, currently racing and training as a semi professional athlete and competing regularly at Ironman 70.3, standard distance triathlon and cycling time trials.
Her participation in sport lead her to her most recent work in Portugal, where she has been based for 6 months as a physiotherapist and coach for Tri Training Harder (coaching and triathlon training holidays company).
Laura has been working alongside an elite team of athletes to help manage training related and acute sports injuries; she has a special interest in lower limb biomechanics and foot & ankles disorders, but has had extensive experience in a wide variety of musculoskeletal problems including post operative rehabilitation and shoulder dysfunctions.
She relishes the problem solving nature of her work and particularly enjoys working with people who are trying to achieve a sporting goal, no matter how big or small.
Pippa Rollitt says: ‘Laura brings a huge amount of expertise to our clients at Richmond Physiotherapy, especially her knowledge as a triathlon coach as well as a physiotherapist’s view, this is a combination of skills that is hard to find.’
